Welcome
We would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family! Our office is committed to providing excellent preventative care for children in a warm, positive, and compassionate environment.
We specialize in comprehensive pediatric dental care for children of all ages with an emphasis on prevention. Baby teeth play a critical role in a child's long-term dental health and we truly believe the cornerstone for a lifetime of good oral health is laid in childhood.
Choose a Pediatric Dentist
In the same way that a pediatrician is a specialized MD, a Pediatric Dentist is a DDS who has received additional training treating children. After completing the traditional four years of dental school, Pediatric Dentists also complete a 2-year residency program specializing in pediatrics. Family dentists and "kid friendly" offices have not achieved this distinction.
All of our doctors have earned the title of Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and are board-certified pediatric specialists. Our award-winning offices are designed to be playful, friendly, and warm to help children feel more comfortable. All contributing to a positive experience at each visit.
JUMPSTART Toddler Program
Our JUMPSTART program is a complimentary exam for toddlers less than 24 months old. In response to the increasing incidence of dental decay in younger children, our JUMPSTART program is designed to create a welcoming, supportive initial experience for children at an early age.
Both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that children visit a dentist by age one. Our JUMPSTART program encourages new parents to follow through on this recommendation by providing a dental exam and consultation with one of our Pediatric Dentists for children under the age of 24 months at no cost. We will identify early signs of dental decay, provide tips for oral care, and address toddler habits.
There is no fee and no obligation to continue as a patient in our practice.
Solea Laser Dentistry
Our offices feature the revolutionary Solea dental laser, the only carbon dioxide laser on the market specifically designed for dental applications. The Solea laser allows us to remove tooth decay in place of a traditional drill and in most cases without the need for additional numbing, which means we can treat your cavity without the need for a shot. There is no lasting numbness, and patients are free to returning to their regular activities, including school, immediately after treatment.
Our Solea laser can also be used to treat painful canker sores, contour gums after orthodontic treatment, and to release tight lip ties. We are currently the ONLY dental practice in Marin County to offer this revolutionary treatment.
About Insurance
All of our dentists are specialists in Pediatric Dentistry. Similar to pediatricians, a Pediatric Dentist serves as the primary dental care provider for your child, eliminating the need for additional referrals. Although we are out-of-network for most insurance plans, we can process and submit insurance claims on behalf of our patients.
We do not accept reimbursements from insurance companies; instead, reimbursements are sent directly to the plan subscriber. We collect our fees at the end of each visit. Out-of-network reimbursement rates will vary based on your specific coverage. Our past experience suggests that most insurance plans reimburse a significant portion of our fees. Please consider contacting your plan administrator if you have questions about your out-of-network reimbursement rate.
Aspen - Our certified therapy dog
Aspen is our team mascot and a certified therapy dog. She is trained, licensed, and insured and visits our offices on a regular basis to help any of our young patients, or their parents, who might be feeling a little anxious about their visit. An English cream golden retriever, Aspen completed her therapy dog training and certification at 4PAWS Inc. in Rohnert Park, CA.
Aspen thrives on attention and loves chasing balls, getting her belly rubbed and - believe it or not - brushing her teeth.
If you would like Aspen to be available during your child's visit, please let us know in advance and we will try to accommodate your request. She is usually working in the office on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but can also come other days at special request
